As the clock strikes 12 tonight, a new year will be upon us. We will look back on 2015 and think about all the good things that happened in the world during the year. Iran and Western powers met a landmark agreement, nearly 200 countries brought about signs of progress on the global effort to fight climate change, German Chancellor Angela Merkel inspired nations by opening her country’s borders to refugees, at a considerable cost to her reputation, and we saw China finally abolish the one child policy.
